Cantor Yvon F. Shore is the Director of Liturgical Arts and Music at the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR) in Cincinnati.  She is the first cantor to hold this position. Cantor Shore is the founder and president of the American Conference of Cantors (ACC) Israel council, an organization dedicated to the support of Progressive Jewish music initiatives in Israel. She is a frequent guest lecturer and artist in residence. Cantor Shore will speak in the opening festivities at the Jewish Institute of Cantorial Arts (JICA).  JICA is a part of the Abraham Geiger College, Germany's first rabbinical seminary since the Holocaust.

Cantor Shore has served on the executive board of American Reform Zionist Association (ARZA) since 1997, the ACC since 1998 and the Union for Reform Judaism's Commission for Religious Living since 2000.  She earned her undergraduate degree in flute and conducting from West Chester University and a Masters Degree in Sacred Music from HUC-JIR.  During her cantorial training, she served Temple Judea in Massapequa, NY. Upon investiture from HUC-JIR in 1995 she proudly served congregations Temple Beth Sholom in New City, New York and Temple Beth-El in Somerville, New Jersey. She is a monthly guest cantor at the Valley Temple in Wyoming, Ohio.
